About the Author

Eric Jones writes about the wireless industry from the inside out.

Two decades of work across MVNO, MVNE, and carrier platform strategy — at T-Mobile USA, Alaska Communications, and large scale enterprises, and as co-founder and former COO and CTO of a U.S. multi-carrier MVNO operating on T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon networks. The work has spanned enterprise fixed wireless broadband, IoT and NB-IoT platforms, MVNO device financing, wholesale carrier contracts, and the operational guts of building and running multi-carrier prepaid and postpaid businesses.

This site is for the things that don't fit cleanly into industry conferences or vendor whitepapers. MVNOs, MVNEs, MVNAs, the economics behind rate plans and connectivity, the role automation and AI are starting to play in churn and lifecycle work, the regulatory layer that gets ignored until it bites, and the gap between how the industry talks about itself and what's actually happening operationally. The perspective is shaped by having sat on every side of the table — carrier wholesale, MVNO operator, and now advisor.

Eric also runs a wireless management consulting practice working with C-suite teams at MVNOs, MVNEs, and MVNAs. Engagements are advisory-only — no implementation work, no vendor relationships. For inquiries: advisory@denalillama.com.

He splits time between Medellín, Seattle, and Miami, and writes in English and occasionally in Spanish.
